Teaming with you for better pelvic health
About My Practice
I provide in-home and virtual pelvic floor physical therapy in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area to adults across the gender spectrum to overcome pelvic floor dysfunction. This includes but is not limited to urinary, bowel, and sexual dysfunction, transgender pelvic health concerns, pelvic pain, and peripartum concerns. I believe strongly in collaborating with my patients for a team approach that focuses on the patient as the driver and the center of care, with me as the physical therapist, a knowledgeable navigator and cheerleader on your health journey.
My Intake Process
The first step is an initial free 15 minute phone or video call to see if pelvic floor physical therapy is right for you and we are a good fit. The next step will be either a virtual or an in home evaluation. (We can decide together which is more appropriate for you during your consult.) Please reach out via the contact form or request an appointment to get started! If you are unable to find a time that works for you in the request portal, please use the contact form to connect with me and we can set up an alternate time!
My journey to pelvic floor physical therapy
I started my journey to pelvic floor physical therapy three days after my physical therapy license exam with an introductory class on pelvic floor physical therapy. I immediately loved it and knew that was where I eventually wanted to land after getting some experience working in an orthopedic clinic. After three years in ortho, I made the transition to pelvic floor physical therapy. I still frequently use my ortho experience to inform my practice and care. We, as people, are a whole body and more than just our pelvic floors! I take a hands-on approach using manual therapy, visceral mobility techniques, patient education, and exercise to collaborate with my patients to create a plan of care that fits each person's individual issues, goals, and lifestyle.
I love that I get to spend my days helping people return back to living full and happy lives that are unimpeded by the silent struggles of pelvic floor dysfunction. When I'm not at work, you can probably find me on my bike, knitting, enjoying a slow morning coffee, or playing with my dog!
A note On Insurance
Unfortunately, I am not able to accept insurance and am out of network with all insurance companies. I am able to provide a superbill for patients to submit for reimbursement. I am aware that when searching for providers through insurance directories, I am still listed as in-network with a few companies and am working to get this corrected.
